Start this walk from either end of the Three Moon picnic area. The track will take you behind Three Moon Creek, showcasing views of sandstone cliffs and surrounding eucalypt woodland.

Start this walk at the southern end of the Three Moon picnic area. Once you have crossed Three Moon Creek, the track will take you through eucalypt woodland and dry rainforest before leading you to the base of Dripping Rock.

This challenging trail is for those who love hiking longer distances. This will take you past spectacular Fern Tree Gully, leading you to Giant’s Chair Lookout for spectacular views of the narrow gorges.

Follow the Dripping Rock track for 400m before taking a right turn over the bridge across Russell Gully. A moderately steep track leads to the cliff face, where a track branches north to Dragon Cave (1.8km return). Here, a naturally formed, black dragon-like mural can be seen highlighted against the white sandstone wall. The southern branch of the track leads to Bloodwood Cave, so called because the roots of a bloodwood tree are visible on the left-hand side of the cave.

From the picnic area, follow the 800m Bloodwood Cave track to the Castle Mountain track turnoff. Climb the steep 200m track to the Gorge Lookout for a breathtaking view down the gorge. From here, a 10km fire trail winds through open woodland to Castle Mountain lookout. The view from this lookout is a reward after the long walk up. Return via the same track.

This easy walk begins from the northern car park, about 1km south of Cania Dam. The track meanders along a creek before passing into eucalypt woodlands. At the former Shamrock Gold Mine, you can see remains of the old battery, mine shafts, processing shed, and mullock heaps. Gold fossicking is not permitted.

Take this short trail from the car park 900m south of the Three Moon picnic area, which runs parallel to the bitumen road. Along the trail, keep your eye out for a large brown image of a four-toed foot on the white sandstone cliff.
